Our photography team had a great opportunity to travel to Mt Isa in central Queensland to shoot a series of corporate portraits and advertising photography for Queensland Country Credit Union. Shooting on location can be quite a challenge, it usually means getting up before the sun rises and shooting through to after it sets. This makes for some very long days, but the results far out way the exhaustion when you come back with great images. (more…)
Put on you hard hat and reflective vest, this month we take you to a large Coal Mine in Central Queensland. The environment was like something out of Star Wars, with massive earth moving and mining equipment that really gave a grand sense of scale to the images. (more…)
We were recently asked by Guide Dogs Queensland to create images for their 2011 calendar, our goal was to take it away from a typical dog breeders style calendar with shots of puppies and flowers and inject some emotion, character and feeling into it. Last year we travelled to some amazing locations as part of an Indigenous portfolio we created for Centrelink, (also see Yorke Island). One of the communities, Bidyadanga, was situated on the coast of La Grange Bay, which is 180 km’s south of Broome. It’s home to some of the nicest people and has amazing contrasts in landscape from dry red sand to pristine white coastlines merely a stones throw away.
One of our secret passions are beautiful sports cars, we just wish we could afford one or have more spare time to shoot them, damn you work commitments! However on an advertising photography shoot for a chain of car wash’s we got a golden opportunity to shoot a Porsche. (more…)
